We Create Premium Denim That Builds Brand Identity

Custom Jeans Manufacturers

Custom Jeans & Denim Manufacturing

Custom-manufactured denim jeans in varied washes for a private label apparel brand.

At DesignTo Clothing, we manufacture custom jeans and denim garments built entirely from your specifications. From raw selvedge to stretch blends, from skinny fits to relaxed wide-leg silhouettes — every detail is yours to control.

Denim is one of the most technically demanding garment categories to produce well. The fabric is heavier, the construction is more complex, and the finishing details — hardware, stitching, washes, and treatments — define the quality of the final product. We manage the full production process so your denim line meets the standards your brand demands.

Our minimum order starts at 30 units per style and color, making custom denim accessible for emerging brands launching their first collection and established labels scaling production.

Materials

Denim Fabrics We Work With

The foundation of any great pair of jeans is the fabric. We source and work with a wide range of denim types to match your product vision, target market, and price point.

Heritage

Raw & Unwashed Denim

Has not been washed or treated after dyeing. Stiff, dark, and develops unique fading patterns with wear. Appeals to heritage brands, premium streetwear, and customers who value the aging process.

Most Popular

Stretch Denim

Cotton blended with 1–3% elastane for flexibility and comfort without sacrificing structure. The most popular denim type for modern jeans, especially slim and skinny fits. Available in 2-way and 4-way stretch.

Classic

Rigid Denim

100% cotton with no stretch. Holds its shape, develops sharp creases, and is the preferred choice for vintage-inspired, workwear, and heritage collections. Common in 12oz–16oz weights.

Premium

Selvedge Denim

Woven on traditional shuttle looms with a finished self-edge that prevents fraying. Visible when the hem is rolled. Associated with quality craftsmanship and denim enthusiasts.

Sustainable

Organic & Sustainable Denim

Organic cotton, recycled cotton blends, and fabrics produced with reduced water and chemical usage. Sustainable denim is increasingly expected by consumers and can be a key differentiator for your brand.

Weight Guide

Denim Weights

Denim weight is measured in ounces per square yard (oz) and determines the thickness, drape, and durability of the garment.

6–9oz
Lightweight

Shirts, lightweight jackets, and summer denim. Soft hand feel with more drape.

10–12oz
Mid-Weight

The standard range for most jeans. Balances structure with comfort for everyday wear.

13–16oz+
Heavyweight

Workwear, raw denim, and heritage styles. Stiff, durable, built to develop character over time.

We recommend the right weight based on your garment type and intended fit. Learn more on our fabric and material processing page.

Every denim brand has its own fit identity. We manufacture custom jeans in any silhouette you specify.

We also produce denim jackets, shorts, skirts, overalls, and shirts — all manufactured through our cut and sew production process.

Finishing

Washes, Treatments, and Finishes

Wash and finishing is what gives denim its character. We offer a full range of treatments to achieve the look and feel your brand is after.

R
Rinse Wash

Single wash to remove excess indigo and soften slightly. Maintains a dark, clean appearance.

S
Stone Wash

Tumbled with pumice stones for a worn, faded look. Adjustable from light to heavy wash intensity.

E
Enzyme Wash

Softer, smoother finish with controlled fading. Gentler on the fabric than stone washing.

A
Acid Wash

High-contrast, mottled appearance. Popular for vintage-inspired and streetwear collections.

B
Bleach Wash

Lightens denim evenly or selectively. Used for light-wash and vintage aesthetics.

O
Overdyeing & Tinting

Garments dyed after construction for colors beyond standard indigo — black, gray, brown, specialty tints.

D
Distressing & Destruction

Controlled rips, tears, fraying, abrasion marks, and whiskering for a worn-in look. Done by hand for premium results or by machine for consistency at volume. Fully customizable — from subtle whiskers to heavy destruction.

How It Works

Our Denim Manufacturing Process

Every denim order follows a structured production workflow from concept to finished product.

1

Design & Specifications

Send us your design — sketch, reference photos, tech pack, or description. We confirm fit, fabric, wash, hardware, and all construction details.

2

Fabric Sourcing

We source denim based on your specs — fiber, weight, stretch, color, and certifications. Swatches sent for approval. Learn more.

3

Sampling

Physical prototype with your actual denim, hardware, wash, and branding. Starts at $250 delivered. Review and approve before bulk production.

4

Pattern, Cutting & Sewing

Patterns laid, cut, and assembled through cut and sew production — inseam, outseam, waistband, fly, pockets, and reinforcement.

5

Washing & Finishing

Garments go through specified wash treatments — rinse, stone, enzyme, distressing, or any combination. This is where denim gets its final character.

6

Hardware & Branding

Buttons, rivets, back patches, and labels attached. Hang tags applied. Garments pressed and folded.

7
