Excellence in Every Stitch
Your US-Based Clothing Manufacturing Partner
At DesignTo Clothing, quality is not just a marketing buzzword—it is the foundation of our entire manufacturing process.
Our quality guarantee is built on clear systems, skilled teams, and strict checks at every stage of production. From initial fabric sourcing to the final polybag, every garment goes through a proven apparel quality assurance workflow overseen by our US-based team.
We follow global garment manufacturing standards to ensure consistency, durability, and a premium finish. This is how we protect your brand’s reputation and deliver products you can confidently sell.
Our Commitment to Quality
We treat every order as a long-term partnership. Our goal is not just to manufacture garments, but to help retail brands scale with dependable, defect-free production.
Our apparel manufacturing quality standards focus on:
Fabric strength, weight, and hand-feel.
Accurate sizing, grading, and measurement tolerances.
Clean stitching, seam durability, and thread tension.
Custom hardware and interactive component stress-testing.
Proper labeling, private branding, and professional presentation.
Carefully sourced materials with strict quality checks.
Low MOQs and adaptable order sizes.
Custom branding to build your identity.
Reliable supply chain with timely shipments.
In-Line Quality Control During Production
A defect caught at the end of the line is a wasted garment. We perform rigorous in-line inspections at the workstation level to catch and correct tolerance errors before a full batch is sewn.
Our teams perform structural checks at every critical stage:
Fabric Relaxation & Grainline Cutting: Before a single cut is made, knit fabrics are allowed to rest to prevent post-production shrinkage. We cut strictly along the true grainline so your t-shirts and hoodies will never twist or warp after washing.
SPI & Tension Calibration: We adjust machine tension and Stitches Per Inch (SPI) specifically for your material's GSM. This prevents seam puckering on lightweight cottons and ensures heavy-duty structural integrity on heavier fleece and denim.
Hardware & Embellishment Anchoring: For brands utilizing complex mechanics—such as heavy embroidery, interchangeable patches, or custom hardware—we use reinforced backing and precision registration to prevent fabric sagging and ensure perfect alignment across every size.
Dimensional Tolerance Checks: We measure sewn panels in real-time against your graded spec sheet. If a measurement deviates beyond the strict 0.5-inch tolerance margin, the line pauses until the machine or pattern is recalibrated.
Final Quality Assurance & Packaging
We don't just "glance" at the final product. Before any order leaves our facility, we conduct a structured AQL 2.5 inspection, checking a statistically valid sample of your bulk run for major and minor defects.
Our final review process verifies:
Inside-Out Construction Review: A premium garment must look just as clean on the inside. We inspect overlock seams, trim all loose threads (thread snipping), and ensure neck tapes and care labels sit completely flat without irritating the wearer.
Decoration & Print Fidelity: We measure the exact placement of all screen prints and embroidery against the approved tech pack. We physically check for proper ink curing (to prevent cracking) and thread density (to prevent unraveling).
Physical Stress & Stretch Testing: We test neckband stretch recovery (so collars don't lose their shape) and pull-test all zippers, drawcords, and custom attachments to guarantee they withstand daily wear and tear.
Retail-Ready Finishing: Garments are professionally steamed to eliminate production wrinkles, uniformly folded to your exact dimensional specs, and sealed in protective polybags with clearly visible size stickers, ready for your fulfillment center.
